Why did they even make a Rio version?!

Look, Im sure its a fine Angry Birds game... when playable. This piece of garbage game has ALWAYS had control issues. You touch the trackpad with your thumb and finger, and the thing zooms out or in at random, and makes the game unctrollable. At least with the first versions of the game, that only happened if you went to some other program and then back to the game; so with the first version or two, you could just quit and restart the game. With the last version or two, its literally unplayable from the time you first open it. Ridiculous, ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH THE OTHER GAMES, like the original or Star Wars versions. I mean, cant you just use the same engines... or at least fire your software team and hire the ones that do the other games? It REALLy cant be that hard....

I really like the originality of this Angry Birds addition, where you have to release birds instead of kill pigs. The monkeys that replace the pigs are great fun, although they seem to be able to hold up more than the pigs do. The only thing I dont like about this game is that it glitches out and zooms in and out randomly if you use two fingers to launch the birds. Some levels are really bad at this, and on other ones it isnt much of a problem. This problem mostly goes away if you use only one finger on the trackpad, but that feels unnatural and is not the way I do it. I dont know what the problem is, since this has never happened on my other Angry Birds games. Overall, fun and different gameplay, but the glitches make it almost impossible sometimes. You might want to wait until they come out with an updated version.

Please actually read the reviews before buying! Yeah, this is a cool game, but THIS version--the Mac app store version--is a shambles. And when you contact the company to inform them of problems, they just ignore the complaints. (I did get one reply once, months ago, in which thyey actully defended the failing controls as "features" they had included by choice, which was a red flag that they have no intention whatsoever of actually fixing this game). They have your money, what do they care?

I removed this from my iPad. Too many attempts at getting more of my money -- buy this, buy power ups, buy this game, advertisements that you have to decline to continue to play the game. I paid my money for the original app. Let me play the games without shilling for more and more money. Just stay away.

an Angry Bird update is a mess and barely works on my mac. Yes, its OK for a bit then mayhem with the track pad ensues and most of the time it takes several minutes to close the game and get the computer to shut down in order for it to function properly again. Avoid Angry Birds updates!!!

8/20: Somethings amiss with this latest update. The menu does not fit into the allotted screen, and clicking on the "screen size" button does nothing but stop the app. 8/23 email from ROVIO: "You could try reinstalling the game. That will not erase your score or progress, but if you want to be safe, you can back them up by copying the settings.lua and highscores.lua files from: ~/Library/Application Support/com.Rovio.Mac.AngryBirdsrio/ Uninstall the game and then reinstall from Mac App Stores Purchased apps page." Havent tried this yet; a little hesitant. Worried I will be charged a 2nd time for the game. 9/30: Did exactly what Rovio said; game performed as before, so wrote them again. 10/4: Heard from Rovio. They said play the game FULL SCREEN. Button for such in lower right sometimes doesnt work; however, when I clicked "full screen" on the Menu Bar, that worked. NOTE: When game opens, it says: "Minimum 1024x768 resolution needed for optimal gameplay experience." If you try all these things, perhaps the game will work for you, too.

I like the new levels - but LOTS of bugs in all the angry birds, but especially rio with the hand - I try to put the mouse/hand over a bird to throw it and it keeps zooming me in and out of the picture. Very annoying and actually gives me a bit of a sick sensation every time because it gets almost stuck in a loop to where i cant get my mouse on the bird because it keeps zooming in but farther down the screen. BUGGY - thanks but no thanks for now.

The graphics were neat, but I wish Rovio would come out with a full version of a new Angry Bird’s. Not just these small updates that only last a day or so. I still wonder when/if they will release Star Wars II for OS X. (?)

I’m enjoying the new iteration, but there’s something going on with the display. If I try to play full-screen, the cursor vanishes and the game can’t be played. If I switch to a windowed view, it zooms in and out randomly and sporadically. Annoying!

It’s great, reasonable game that performs very well.

Angry Birds Rio is fun all the time. This newest release, Timber Tumble is the best of the lot. Great fun but the stupid monkey noise gets so obnoxiously annoying youll end up playing with the sound off. If you could turn off the monkeys and hear the other fun sound effects it would be perfect.

The RIO version of Angry Birds has been really entertaining and the newer levels added; I end up spending hours on. The entire series are probably the best games ever created for any type of computer - and you actually learn something from them.

What’s not to like?

This update is very good. New levels are awesome, The more, The better! One thing about it i like is the new bird it’s crazy!!!! This game is the best… Iove it, Play it, Buy it!

I am playing a paid version and should not be presented with “rate this game” notices that have no way to decline them.

While Im not a fan of the Space or Star Wars iterations, Im addicted to all the others including Rio. Keep em coming ---please!!!!
